Lea Müller-Funk is a senior researcher at the Department for Migration and Globalisation at Danube University Krems, Austria. As the principal investigator of the TIES project, she is excited to engage with students and develop thought-provoking teaching modules for youth. Lea is a migration scholar with a background in Political Science and Arabic Studies and expertise in forced displacement and transnational politics. She has studied and worked at Vienna University, Sciences Po Paris, Oxford University, the University of Amsterdam, the German Institute for Global and Area Studies and has conducted fieldwork in Egypt, France, Austria, Lebanon, Turkey, and Tunisia.
